IT Technical Analyst

Precision Planting (Tremont IL), a subsidiary of AGCO (Atlanta GA), is currently looking for a IT Technical Analyst on its Information Technology team responsible for overseeing the administration, maintenance, and security of the company’s network and computer systems.

About the Position

The IT Technical Analyst will be responsible for leading the deployment and day-to-day management and operations of the computing infrastructure across the company and ensuring policies and standards adhere to best practices. He/she will work closely with other IT team members and business leaders, and will be responsible for identifying solutions, and leading the technical aspects of IT solutions and applications.

The ideal candidate should possess experience with multiple technologies including Windows Server, MacOS, networking (Palo Alto, Cisco), storage, and a variety of business applications. Experience with hybrid cloud technologies preferred.

This is a full-time position, with the expectation that the candidate will work out of the Tremont, IL or Bloomington, IL offices, with a hybrid and/or remote work schedule available. Employees may need to travel between different facility locations: Tremont IL, Pontiac IL, Bloomington IL., Morton IL.

Preferred Skills and Requirements

• Ability to analyze business requirements and recommend appropriate applications and technology solutions.

• Administer IT systems and recommend enhancements to systems to improve efficiency, improve experience, and/or reduce cost of all operations.

• Determine appropriate procedures for all IT technologies; assist in all new equipment and application configurations.

• Train all new employees in IT procedures and processes and provide expert knowledge to resolve all IT issues.

• Design an effective technical architecture and develop it effectively and assist to incorporate all new technologies into IT systems and monitor all production environments.

• Coordinate with all business and IT partners and analyze all business needs and provide resolutions for business and IT associate issues.

• Coordinate with all software vendors to perform investigations on all application issues and provide effective resolutions; assist IT team members to evaluate technical processes and provide an effective interface with all vendor partners.

• Coordinate with infrastructure and operations providers on service issues; maintain compliance to all company policies and regulations

• Collaborate across IT team to perform periodic security risk assessment on IT solutions.

• Proficiency in scripting including Python, PowerShell, and Power Automate

What a Great Candidate Looks Like

Additional experiences and proficiencies in these areas will improve candidate consideration:

• Prefer degree in computer science, MIS, or equivalent

• Ability to independently research technical topics and solutions

• A rich history of analytical and problem-solving skills and accomplishments.

• Strong skills in data manipulation with tools like MS Excel, Access, BI tools, SQL, Tableau, etc.

• Solid background managing servers, applications, and storage across on premise Windows server, AWS (Amazon Web Services), and Azure.

• Experience managing Windows Server, MacOS, Office 365, Online Exchange, SharePoint, JAMF, and Intune.

• Persuasive communication and presentation skills to all levels

• Knowledge of company IT organization, business, and technical environments.

• Proven learning agility and growth mindset.

• Strong collaboration & relationship building with diverse set of customers.

• Ability to multi-task and prioritize work based on competing priorities.

• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong attention to detail with an analytical mind and outstanding problem-solving skills.
