In the People Analytics & Insights group at Citigroup, we solve business problems with workforce and business data. We conduct analyses to provide actionable insights and enable evidence-based decision making. We use machine learning and statistical models to predict future outcomes.
We are seeking an experienced and talented Data Scientist to join our team. A successful candidate will be responsible for adapting data science and analytics methodologies for people analytics applications and working with HR and business leaders to deliver insights, forecasts, and information-based recommendations to decision-makers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of existing and future People Analytics data science models and deliverables, including building out enhancements, use cases, and user training (e.g. workforce planning, attrition, and hiring modeling)
- Partner with People Analytics Partners, HR and business colleagues to understand the analytics needs, proactively proposing technical solutions to their problems using knowledge of best-in-class analysis and modeling techniques.
- Develop dashboards and reporting tools that provide leading/lagging indicators that provide insight to understand HR’s outcomes against key performance indicators
- Create, maintain, and update interactive dashboards and visualizations that enhance the quality of decision making by revealing deep, causal insights from large quantities of data and complex patterns
- Lead model validation, audit, and compliance related tasks by creating comprehensive model development documents and interacting on a regular basis with model risk management stakeholders
- Advance AI/ML capabilities by leveraging existing use-cases and using advanced modeling techniques to drive process improvements, improve organizational effectiveness, and enhance candidate and employee experience
- Analyze internal processes to identify opportunities for improvement, as well as devising and implementing new innovative workflow solutions to improve data visualization
- Leverage the latest trends in advanced analytics and technology to drive innovation and provide recommendations
- Collaborate with partners, including technology, to build and maintain the People Analytics and Insights database; including integrating multiple systems and data sources to build large and complex data sets and making them usable for analytics studies (e.g. transforming and cleaning data, working with incomplete data sources, etc.)
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as Computer Science, Statistics Data Science, or Mathematics, Master’s degree preferred
- Extensive experience in:
- Utilizing Python for data science, visualization, and project automation
- Python Packages such as Pandas, Scikit-learn, Seaborn, Numpy, Plotly etc.
- Advanced SQL (or similar language for querying relational databases)
- Tableau and other data visualization tools
- Experience working in a global environment with complex data
- Strong experience in developing and implementing data science models and experience with AI/ML and NLP techniques
- Strong experience in data visualization and dashboarding tools (Tableau, Django, Shiny)
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think strategically
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
