Commerce Bank is looking for a Business Analyst in Commercial Payments. This newly created role will serve as subject matter expert within the Commercial Card business line to proactively manage revenue share processes from end-to-end. This position will manage close to $100 million dollars in payments. It is critical the candidate ensures accuracy and timeliness to the prioritization of system enhancements, process improvement, and data.

The other area of focus for this role is to work across multiple business lines within the department, as well as with individuals across the Bank, to thoroughly vet Salesforce system enhancement requests by evaluating processes and helping to provide requirements. This person will also prepare documentation and conduct training to assist with end-user adoption of system changes.

Essential Functions

  • Review data and compare reports, trends, variance analysis to identify discrepancies and patterns
  • Collaborate with programmers, engineers, and organizational leaders to identify opportunities for process improvements, recommend system modifications
  • Create appropriate documentation for stakeholders, end users, and scope of responsibility
  • Analyze business problems and determine a solution
  • Drive identification of requirements across business units through thorough processes evaluation and train end-users on process and/or system changes
  • Help business leaders identify desired outcomes and help develop a prioritized roadmap while gaining alignment across different business units
  • Monitor and escalate risks and issues, as appropriate
  • Adhere to project deadlines and commitments
  • Exceed customer expectations of professionalism
  • Lead and facilitate meetings
  • Participate in cross-functional teams
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Hybrid work location with anchored days Tuesday -Thursday


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required

  • Ability to work independently and be effectively proactive in a relatively unstructured environment
  • Experience working with multiple business areas

  • Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook


Education & Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required
