POSITION SUMMARY
The cancer data analyst (CDA) at Spencer Cancer Center is an individual in pursuit of a professional registry career who works under the mentorship of the cancer registry manager. The CDA performs administrative and technical tasks in support of the registry and participates in ongoing career development working towards certification. After an initial probationary period, the CDA is eligible with manager’s approval to participate in the telecommuting work arrangement.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Associate degree not required but must have minimum two years full-time (24 months or 3,900 hours) or equivalent experience in the cancer registry field.

Minimum one (1) year tumor registry experience OR enrolled in a NCRA-Accredited Formal Education Certificate or Degree Program with expectation of getting Certified Tumor Registrar (CTR).

Certified Tumor Registrar (CTR) eligible.

Must pass CTR examination within 3 years from the date hired.

Associate’s Degree in Health Information Management, Nursing or related field OR two (2) years of directly related experience.

3000 hours of experience of cancer registry operations and working knowledge of CoC Standards.
