The role of Business Intelligence Analyst III is to assess requirements, design, develop, and support enterprise dashboards and reports. This person is responsible for working with the manager responsible for identifying, documenting, and reporting data quality issues as well as working with Information Technology teams or business partners to ultimate resolution. Partners with business unit leaders to devise or modify procedures to solve complex problems and achieve desired results
Additional responsibilities include preparing detailed specifications from which reports will be written. Competent to work at the highest technical level of all phases of data analysis and report development activities. Regularly provides guidance and training to less-experienced analysts/developers.
Responsibilities:
Primary Duties:
- Performs analysis required for financial and revenue cycle management (RCM) performance opportunity assessments, identify trends, patterns, and root causes.
- Drives operational/financial improvements identified through reporting.
- Aggregate, analyze, and publish performance and financial data as it relates to Revenue Cycle Management, Operations, and overall business needs.
- Creates ad hoc reports analytic products as needed with large data sets
- Extracts and compiles data from various system sources to develop sound analyses leading to potential revenue cycle opportunities. Conducts analyses related to charge capture, billing, and/or patient financial services.
- Prepare and present visualizations and stories that make it easy for everyone to understand, trust, and make decisions with the results.
- Coordinate and collaborate with internal and external cross-functional teams to determine mechanics of meaningful data products.

Qualifications:
Qualifications and Skills:
- Advanced understanding of SQL with a focus on descriptive and diagnostic analysis.
- Experienced presenting data insights with data visualization tools (i.e. Tableau, Power BI, MicroStrategy)
- Experience with adhoc analysis of large data using Tableau Prep, Alteryx, or Power Pivot/Power Query
- Capable of working independently, with minimal guidance, while achieving successful results
- Systems thinking approach with general understanding of ETL and data fluency.
- Proficiency in business analytics, with demonstrated ability to draw conclusions from the data and “put brains to the numbers”
- Presentation and PowerPoint skills, with a demonstrated ability to tell a data story to executive leadership
- Strong ability to understand and analyze user requirements as they relate to organizational goals and objectives
- Superior written and oral communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively collaborate across teams
- Strong work ethic and ability to work autonomously in a high production environment
Education Requirements:
- The candidate for this position should have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science or Statistics, preferred from an accredited institution.
- Some certifications that are desirable but not mandatory for the candidate include Professional in Business Analysis (PBA), Agile Analysis Certification (AAC) and Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP). Relevant work and hands-on experience may be a substitute for any of the above certifications.
Experience Requirements:
- The successful candidate should have worked as an Analyst with 5 Years or more in a Data and Analytics role.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong organizational, analytical, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
- Experience within the RCM healthcare space is required
