Job Details:
Everest Re Group, Ltd. (“Everest”) is seeking a Sr. Data Engineer – API integration to drive the execution of our Global integration Strategy. In this highly visible position, you will apply strong technical acumen and leadership in partnership with business counterparts to effectively define, plan and deliver technical solutions that support business outcomes in service to Everest’s strategy. This is a role that enable you to become a strong real time integration leader across the organization.
Responsibilities:
  • Partner and work collaboratively with internal customers to understand strategic application and data integration and the associated enabling technology requirements.
  • Lead the technology activities to enable the delivery of meaningful, actionable, data-driven capability in alignment with business strategies
  • Develop and lead the execution of the application and data integration technology strategies and roadmaps to optimize rapid delivery of information management capabilities, while aligning to established technology and architecture standards
  • Define and deliver the enterprise application and data integration architecture, tooling and capabilities needed to enable a modern cloud-based data environment and the best practices, governance, and controls to support the broad adoption and use across the enterprise
  • Manage the engagement / coordination across assigned delivery teams to ensure high quality project delivery within scope, timeframe, and budgets
  • This individual will own, among other things, the evaluation of tools to support the role, and deliver a robust integration framework API and Microservice based semantic layer.
  • This is a cross-functional and high-impact role that requires a keen sense of ownership and drive.
  • You should have strong analytical and project management skills, enabling key business stakeholders to understand requirements, provide options, and drive solid execution.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering
  • 5+ years in the enterprise application and data Integration space with deep experience delivering enhanced analytic and data access capabilities
  • Direct experience with IBM API Connect and Google Apigee
  • Experience with Cloud-based technologies (MS Azure, Spark, Kafka, Databricks)
  • Experience with advanced functional programming (Scala, Python)
Preferred Skills:
  • Team lead or direct management experience
  • Knowledge or experience within the Insurance or Financial Services Industry
