Job Location: New York, NY

Locations: Hybrid – New York, NY and Norwalk, CT.
FactSet is looking for a Product Analytics Manager with experience in Product Management or Data Science to help mature our data-informed product culture. The Product Analytics Manager partners with Product teams to drive a data and metrics-informed product development process. They coach Product teams on best practices for leveraging data across the product lifecycle and champion a data mindset.
Product Analytics Managers also prioritize and drive the development of tools and processes that help us better understand why users engage, return, and succeed. In partnership with Data Engineering, Data Science and the Strategic Business Units (SBUs), they identify the essential tools needed and ensure those tools are providing value. Product Analytics Managers also become experts in applying vendor tools to meet basic analytics needs and support personalized onboarding and discovery.
As FactSet strives to provide a personalized experience for users, the Product Analytics Manager will look for ways to leverage usage data to drive a more tailored experience by role, firm type, and implicit and explicit preferences. This role requires significant cross-functional collaboration with a goal of centering the entire organization around a data-informed, shared understanding of user behavior.
Responsibilities:
Champion a data culture
  • Encourage a culture of experimentation and define best practices for continuous testing and measurement
  • Define and monitor standard Product Health KPIs that support FactSet’s overall goals
  • Evangelize best practices. Share wins and learnings to help teams learn from work of others.
  • Develop a holistic understanding of user engagement patterns by analyzing product usage data
  • Partner with Firm Type Strategists and Product Managers to set product goals and influence strategy by delivering insightful and actionable analytics to inform product roadmaps
Shape the tools we build and buy
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, Data Engineers, and Data Scientists to ensure data quality and automate KPIs
  • Define the service model between Product Analytics and the SBU. Determine when Product teams engage with self-service tools vs. when project-based engagements are necessary, and how engagements are prioritized and executed.
  • Manage the deployment and governance of product analytics vendor tools
  • Guided by data evidence and overall Product Analytics strategy, lead projects to drive adoption, retention, and expansion of SBU products. Example projects might include: Analyze trial behaviors to uncover conversion drivers, Personalize trial onboarding flows by user role to drive conversion, Analyze usage data to understand factors that drive stickiness or uncover behaviors that could indicate upsell opportunities
Serve as Product Analytics Business Partner for the SBUs
  • Help Product teams define success metrics and design event-based analytics implementation
  • Determine ways to use data as a strategic asset in product development
  • Deliver actionable usage insights to product teams to drive decision-making
  • In partnership with team of Product Analytics Managers, ensure that self-service capabilities meet the needs of all SBUs
Qualifications:
  • Very strong critical thinking and analytical skills. Ability to take an ambiguous problem, use data-informed brainstorming, articulate product goals and clear metrics, and drive a team to deliver on those goals
  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in an analytical field such as math, economics, finance, engineering, technology or equivalent practical experience
  • 3-5+ years’ experience as a data-informed Product Manager, Data Science Product Manager, or Insights Manager in a B2B SaaS company or relevant experience
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and enthusiasm for driving change
  • Track record of being a change agent who can drive new thinking across an organization
  • A collaborative leadership style capable of influence without direct authority
  • Strong verbal/written communication & data presentation skills. Communicate well with both business and technical teams.
  • Experience with product analytics tools, SQL and working with databases, Python/R for data wrangling and analysis, and visualization tools preferred
  • Interest in financial markets or investing, or previous experience in buy-side or sell-side roles preferred
The budgeted salary range for this position in the states of Connecticut and New York is $91,000 – $140,000.
