Description
Infection Prevention Department is responsible for the surveillance, analysis, interpretation and reporting of hospital acquired infections (HAIs), education of employees about infection prevention, development of Performance Improvement and Infection Prevention plans and programs, and ensuring rigorous infection prevention standards that meet NYSDOH, DNV, OSHA, Centers for Medicaid/Medicare Services, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and other state and national recommendations and requirements.
The workflow and efficiency of the Infection Prevention Department requires a Data Analyst position. The Data Analyst – Infection Prevention (Analyst) is responsible for support services including preparing meeting agendas and minutes, sending information to local health departments, data entry into the National Healthcare Safety Network, and preparation of spreadsheets and graphs for dissemination to appropriate stakeholders.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field or statistics preferred
