ORGANIZATION DESCRIPTION

Now we are expanding our Business Intelligence team to further support our operations and strategy by developing more high-quality dashboards and other analytic tools for our clinical and administrative teams to use that will result in more lives saved.
POSITION AND PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
The Data Analyst is responsible for creating and updating dashboards and reports that provide meaningful insights to support Mid-America Transplantโs life-saving mission. This role is also responsible for optimizing the way dashboards are organized and accessed to enhance the end-user experience, ensure security and confidentiality of sensitive data and promote the hassle-free use of analytics in real-time decision-making.
The position reports to the Director of Business Intelligence and Performance Excellence and provides the opportunity to collaborate with four additional Business Intelligence professionals as well as leaders and staff from throughout the organization.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Creates and updates dashboards and reports that provide accurate and meaningful information and insights.
- Certifies dashboards that others have created, ensuring accuracy and adherence to organizational design standards.
- Collaborates with managers and staff to identify strategic opportunities to develop dashboards and other business intelligence solutions to automate processes, enhance decision-making and optimize outcomes.
- Manages access to and organizes the reporting environment, so that the security and confidentiality of sensitive information is maintained and so that end-users are able to access the insights they need on-demand.
- Provides ongoing support to managers and staff as they build and interact with dashboards and reports, ensuring accuracy and effectiveness.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelorโs degree in Healthcare Informatics, Statistics, Data Management, Business Administration or Management Information Systems, or equivalent work experience
- 2+ years of Tableau Desktop and Tableau Online experience, integrating data from disparate data sources, creating calculated fields and creating user-friendly dashboards
- Proficient in SQL
- Solid analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Skilled in discovering, understanding and analyzing reporting requirements
- Excellent customer service skills
- Solid communication skills; written, verbal and presentation
- Skilled at forming and sustaining relationships with colleagues and other stakeholders
- The ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently while upholding core values of excellence, innovation, stewardship, collaboration, integrity, and compassion.
