Position Summary

Bechtel is seeking a talented, energetic, ambitious Full Stack Developer who wants to join our software development team in Gurugram, India. As a Developer you will have the opportunity to be a member of our global software development organization working with state-of-the-art tools and technologies to build the next wave of software applications for our global enterprise. You’ll get the chance to interface with customers, create new products and web and mobile applications, and improve on existing systems and code. The products that you build will touch thousands of users across the globe.

Help the development of Cost Management System (EcoSys) within Project Controls and facilitate enterprise-wide initiatives as they relate to the Project Controls systems. Help functional team in assessing complex tasks and providing solutions to address the demanding challenges requiring initiative and independent System Analyst judgment. Demonstrates a systematic, disciplined and analytical approach to problem solving.

This position will mainly focus on system configuration for EcoSys. Work requiring judgment in adaptation of information systems techniques, procedures and criteria in areas including application help, software engineering, software quality assurance and quality control.

Responsibilities

• Apply Server-side software development expertise to design, develop and implement horizontally scalable components with the ability to
• Handle large transaction and query volumes with experience in various technologies
• Apply system development experience for configuration of Ecosys application used by Bechtel.
• Drive technical excellence and implementation of best data engineering practices
• Develop full stack applications that are scalable, robust, and thoughtfully designed. You should be comfortable with all layers of the stack,
• from the database to the front-end
• Design database schemas
• Full software development lifecycle, from design to implementation
• Ship production code to a large customer base, and will take full ownership of your work, including testing and deployments
• Collaborate with other software engineers, domain experts, and end-users, to build the right solutions that address our business needs
• Oversee the design, scoping, implementation, and testing in short agile release cycles
• Interface with Software Quality Assurance and deployment teams
• Identify and implement technical innovations to improve work processes
• Work closely with the lead developer(s) and users to assure that business requirements are accurately represented in design and
• implementation phases
• Learn Project Controls work processes and apply the knowledge in system development

Basic Qualifications And Mandatory Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, CIS, MIS or related technical field of study
• Software design and development experience, integration and administering large-scale distributed applications
• Development experience in Oracle/SQL Server, C#, and API Development
• Willing to learn different programming languages and technologies
• For grade 23 -> 3-5 yrs, for grade 24 -> 5-7 yrs experience required.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of data models, database design ad related technologies
• Knowledge of additional technologies: React, Node JS, ASP.net , Power BI, Power APP, MS Excel, or TypeScript
• Knowledge of additional database: PostgreSQL, MySQL
• Willing to apply system development experience on EcoSys configuration

Introduction

To handle effectively and efficiently Inbound (voice), outbound (on need basis) calls to resolve potential fraud alerts on UK customer credit cards, either by notification from the customer through digital/telephony/network channels or outbound contact to the customer generated by internally generated system referrals (e.g., Fraud Strategy/Adeptra) and or staff referrals. Aim to initiate actions to prevent further fraudulent activity and minimize customer impact/loss. To work on scenarios which are highly complex in nature. To be responsible for doing all the regulatory checks and manage complaints that arise out of interactions. To be able to manage multiple portfolios as these colleagues are cross skilled on multiple portfolios. To be able to make critical decisions base on case details and available resources to ensure minimal Genuine Customer Impact and Missed Frauds.

What will you be doing?

• Deal with customer queries and ensure appropriate resolution is offered to be able to manage customer experience and NPS (Net Promoter Score)
• Handle customer requests with the support of clearly defined scripts and processes. Adhere to the Service Level Agreements specified by the client / process and ensure adherence to time schedules
• May have the authority to release and verify funds across a variety of systems used by the department. Deal with customers and may be required to identify, log and escalate complaints and resolve queries by tracking them internally and escalate upwards if necessary
• Responsible for the management of own daily workload, to ensure telephone enquiries / queries are dealt with in an efficient and knowledgeable manner to meet the demands of the business grades of service and ensuring that all unresolved cases / queries are allocated to the respective areas
• Responsible for identifying potential loss situations promptly escalating to the relevant areas to minimise the risk to the business and the customer
• Adhere to organizational wide information security policies and procedures. Assist Team Manager / Process Expert in administration of the section, including organising workflow, queue management and query resolution
• Adhere to quality control discipline, procedures and checks at all times
• Day to day query resolution, with upward escalation of more complex queries to the management team
• Report issues and concerns as soon as possible to seniors/ team leaders/ managers etc. in time and with complete information, in which effort is made to prevent or limit possible damage/fraud.
• Responsible for driving own performance management, collating relevant documentation, preparing for and arranging self-performance reviews
• Thorough solution of queries & identify improvements to processes
• Maintain effective performance by being adaptable and positive in approach to dynamic business circumstances, questioning procedures and proactively seeking solutions

• Differentiate the genuine customers from fraudsters using verbal and physical signs present on the account

What We’re Looking For

• Under-Graduate/Graduate/Post-Graduate in any discipline (Fresher’s applicable however preferably Graduate Fresher). Relevant years of experience would be preferred.
