Your Team

Analytics Engineering builds and maintains DAZN’s Data Model and supports the on-going technical delivery of the Data Engineering team’s outputs. We’re responsible for the sourcing and modelling of DAZN’s core data models, driving our corporate and product analytics, predictive modelling and data exchanges with rights holders and other parties. We also play a key role in mentoring data scientists, analysts and engineers in delivering reliable, timely, and consumable insights for business wide applications.

Most of our datasets are stored in Snowflake, modelled with dbt and orchestrated using Airflow in a 100% cloud-based platform, largely using AWS. We work closely with Data and Data Platform engineers who provide the infrastructure we need to deliver data products.

As an Analytics Engineer, you’ll have the opportunity to:

Develop and maintain ELT data pipelines.

Grow and improve the quality of our analytics code base.
Design and implement testing frameworks to monitor data quality.

You’ll be set up for success if you have:

Experience coding with SQL for analytics as well as data modelling

Position Overview

We are looking for a Financial Analyst to support the WWS Spend Portfolio Management team under COO.

How You Will Spend your Day:

Partnership with Finance teams: You will partner with Spend Analyst’s to support budget owners in analyzing areas for potential spend savings and recommending solutions for effectively managing their spend
Financial analysis: You will provide monthly reporting around spend and assist in providing ad-hoc analyses to help support business decisions
Driving process improvement: You will recommend and lead improvements to deliver high-quality results as well as implement new standards/processes across the WWS Spend Finance team

Responsibilities

Help drive the quarterly and monthly forecasting cycles for specific business units within the WWS Organization
Lead and support quarter-end activities, including preparing accruals, reporting landing positions, consolidating, and submitting group forecasts, and act as a liaison with other finance, HR, and business team members
Support Headcount & contractor forecasting, processing, tracking, and reconciliation preparation
Partner with the other team members participating in, and leading, various projects focused on efficiencies, including building new models, revamping existing processes, and prepare ad-hoc analyses
Identify and communicate business opportunities, provide recommendations, and give feedback to others
Continuously cross train with other team members on other areas to expand knowledge and provide vacation coverage
Identify opportunities to standardize and centralize finance processes. Lead the transition as required

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor/master’s degree in finance. MBA, CA/CPA preferred but not mandatory
3+ years of relevant experience
Experience in forecasting and financial modeling
Exposure to SAP/SAP4 HANA, Workday, Anaplan, Power BI preferable
Ability to build and maintain trust with team members and stakeholders
High attention to detail and desire to drive process improvements
Effective & concise communicator, both written and verbal
Ability to collaborate and partner effectively with a variety of non-financial stakeholders
Advanced Excel skills
Adept with new technologies and tools, including dashboards, financial modeling software, and automation tools (Anaplan, Power BI, Power Query, etc.)
Experience with SAP, BPC and Business Objects is a plus

What We Are Looking For

4-year bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent (Business, Information Systems, or related areas) and 1-2 years related experience
Experience with data handling, specifically with validating and auditing data and reports
Understanding of HRIS and HCM systems (Workday preferred)
HR acumen and technical aptitude, with proven experience in reporting HR/HRIS
Experience in report writing and report creation
Advanced Knowledge in Excel including complex formulas
Organization skills
Ability to manage change effectively – always mindful of technology, business processes, and systems implications
