This position is under close supervision and guidance. Individual works within narrowly defined limits and authority on assignments of low to moderate complexity. The Data Analyst I will learn and effectively utilize the reporting procedures that designate the use of check lists, submission logs, data transmissions, data receipt confirmations, industry specified data file formats, and the designated STAT plan for each specified state, and various other reporting guidelines, processes, and timelines.

The essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • General overall business knowledge of the Worker’s Compensation processes and data elements.
  • Possesses technical ability to learn various software products, data file structures, program functionality, multiple system platforms and constraints, and various other technical requirements to effectively produce timely and accurate data submissions.
  • Ability to warehouse and archive data submissions while securing with documentation and designated auditory controls.
  • Very organized and detail oriented that promotes efficiency and careful processing of data in accessing data tables within Zenith’s base systems.
  • Very thorough and follows through on reporting assignments and meets reporting deadlines.
  • Responsible in communicating to appropriate business owner the data problems/errors affected and acquiring assistance in data correction or IT resolution/intervention.

The Manager of Data & Platform Solutions is an entry-level management role that will specifically be responsible for audience profiling, activating of audience data, and managing the technology platforms that drive better marketing decisions in partnership with the media team. This highly motivated, detail-oriented individual manages processes around targeting data, generates reports to understand key insights, and overall executes on the client’s investments in data and their technology stack.

The successful candidate is a curious problem solver with a knack for telling stories through data.

Role Objectives:

  • Manage day-to-day operations in platforms, like a DMP, CDP, and/or DSP
  • Manage the process of defining audiences to be targeted, sharing data with partners, and tracking and compiling performance reports regarding audience groups for client account(s)

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience preferred in digital media, ad technology, ad operations, or analytics

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written communication, and presentation skills
  • Experience managing multiple, competing priorities, duties and/or projects

Yale University’s Cultural Heritage Collections and Scholarly Communication division is seeking a Data Scientist to work with our knowledge graph and cutting edge technologies to improve access to and understanding of the University’s collections. This represents a unique opportunity to apply AI, natural language processing, and computational analysis techniques to a vast corpus of open knowledge, in an innovative and collaborative environment. This role will provide essential expertise necessary to advance the core mission of enabling research, teaching and learning to be performed with the collections. In order to do this, we are seeking someone with a strong understanding of machine learning technologies, data analysis platforms and techniques, and with a track record of data engineering skills and practical accomplishments.

The position reports to the Senior Director for Digital Cultural Heritage, within the Office of the Vice-Provost. The position will work closely with colleagues in Yale’s museums, libraries, archives, central Information Technology Services (ITS), and with faculty and research projects as time allows. Engagement with the cultural heritage community through conferences, meetings and research projects is also anticipated as a core function.

Primary Responsibilities: Build machine learning based workflows to improve content in the knowledge graph, including via Generative AI, natural language processing, and other information science techniques. Improvements will include accurate reconciliation of entities, restructuring of textual or semi-structured content into a robust knowledge graph, and the integration of multi-modal AI techniques leveraging image, audio and video content in conjunction with data. Perform sophisticated data analysis to inform stakeholders of patterns, gaps and trends in collection data, and to assist with research projects using the knowledge graph. Assist with query optimization, data transformation pipeline debugging and optimization, and other advanced data engineering processes. Applying an engineering mindset to data science, build test suites and validation routines to prove the efficiency and accuracy of the machine learning based pipelines developed. This is not a research position, but one dedicated to practical, demonstrable improvements. Work closely with software engineers and content matter experts in the collecting units and central IT to assist with the quality and understanding of data, services and enrichments.

  • Prior career experience working in a practitioner-level role in one or several of the following disciplines: Analytics Engineering, Analytics Configuration/Management, Data Engineering, Data Visualization, Media Buying, Account Management/Client Services. The more prior experience directly working in these different role types, the better!
  • Former direct experience serving in any role across media buying, client services, analytics engineering, analytics configuration, data visualization, and/or data engineering
  • 3+ years of people management experience, including guiding and mentoring managers to enable a high-performing team and culture
  • Building and implementing standard processes to scale a service operation end-to-end
  • Experience with Media Mix Modeling, Forecasting, Incrementality Testing, or Predictive Analytics
