Job Description

The successful candidate will design, develop, and support Power BI applications related software and ensure these applications function reliably. This developer should be well versed in Power BI reports development and Support.

Primary Responsibilities

• Participate in all phases of the development lifecycle from initial requirements gathering and design through to implementation and support.
• Must learn to capture requirements independently, guide and train the junior resources in capturing requirements under supervision.
• Work closely with the all stakeholders on a goal-driven software product/project road map with clear timelines, benchmarks, and target dates
• Conduct requirement analysis on assigned tasks.
• Realize project requirements by configuration / customization of the base products with high quality.
• Produce detailed low-level designs from high-level design specifications for components of low-level complexity.
• Carry out unit testing on own developed code, developing test scenarios if necessary.
• Apply all relevant standards and procedures to own work.
• Always ensure process compliance.
• Develop technical knowledge and awareness of those technical areas on whichever task delegated upon to code.
• Compile reports on the tasks performed on day-to-day basis.
• Always comply with all confidentiality and non-disclosure policies and/or agreements and ensure security of information.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in developing the reports using POWER BI
• Experience writing Power Query, DAX, MDX for complex data projects
• 1-2 years of experience in MSBI, HTML, JavaScript, jQuery CSS, SQL Server/Postgres
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Good communication
• Excellent team player abilities with good interpersonal and behavior skills
• Bachelor of Engineering / Bachelor of Technology or master’s in science / Bachelor of Science with Computers or similar technical qualification.

Power BI JD:

• To design, build and deploy business intelligence reports and dashboards using Microsoft Power BI

• Experienced in using SSAS Tabular model and DAX in building Power BI reports.

• Excellent understanding of Data Modelling and Data Warehouse concepts

• Should be well versed in building semantic models for ad-hoc reporting

• Good to have experience of building custom visuals

• Must have knowledge of securing reports, dashboards and data
