Job Detail:
We are looking for a dynamic and versatile individual who enjoys being up-to-date with respect to theories, events and happenings in the climate and disaster risk sector and capable of proactively reaching out to prospective clients/partners and identifying business opportunities and trends.
Roles and responsibilities:
- Support in the development of TORs/EOIs/RFPs documents with potential clients/prospective partners
- Drive the development of RMSIs response to EOIs/RFPs in coordination with business development team and subject matter experts.
- Support in identification of suitable partners / consultants and their on boarding for specific opportunities
- Scan the disaster and climate risk management market for potential business opportunities suiting RMSIs capacities
Profile:
- Masters in Disaster management/Climate studies/Environmental Science/Engineering or related field;
- 0 to 2 years of relevant experience in technical writing/business development;
- Understanding of basics of disaster and climate risk – hazards, exposure, vulnerability and risk; disasters and climate change adaptation and mitigation, global frameworks for disaster and climate risk management
- Analytical mind-set
- Excellent written and verbal communication
Desirable skills:
- Previous experience with developing response to EOIs, RFPs, grant proposals (preferable)
- Previous experience with multi-lateral funding agencies (preferable)
- Understanding of DRM/CCA sectors
