The purpose of this position is to deeply understand the challenges our Washington State Employers face, assess their satisfaction with our products, and communicate valuable insights to the Product Manager.

Understand our customers.
- Conduct culturally competent research into customer outcomes by race, gender, language preference, housing status, and other customer attributes that may impact outcomes related to using our products.
- Develop and operate statistically valid products and systems to gauge customer and stakeholder satisfaction with ESDโs products and services.
Work closely with Product Managers and Project Managers within Product, Planning, and Performance and other business units to embed customer and stakeholder insights into ESD products or services.
Provide customer-first business intelligence to agency leadership, outside agencies and select external stakeholders, to inform high-level data-driven decision-making and increase transparency.

Required Qualifications:
Preferred/Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree
- Formal training in data collection methods (writing surveys, polls, etc.)
- Experience managing market research projects in Insurance, or other relevant industry
- Demonstrated experience or certification in:
- Advanced quantitative market research methods and analytics (regressions and segmentation)
- Data access tools (SQL, SAS, Tableau, etc.)
- Advanced statistical tools (SPSS, SAS, R, etc.)
- Online survey programming (Sawtooth, Qualtrics, Survey Gizmo, etc.)
- User Experience (UX) design
- Report automation, Business Intelligence tools
- Cross-cultural research
- Working in cross-functional teams (e.g. design, product management, engineering)
- Running focus groups
- Agile or Scrum software product development
