2023 Summer Intern – Eng. Analytics & Automation – ENG001989

In this full-time 10-week internship, you will have the opportunity to work with the Engineering Analytics & Automation team, who is responsible for Analytics and BI executive reporting, and we support the different Engineering teams to deliver their own BI reports.
Core Responsibilities
- Design tables and database queries to transfer data from the data sources to the data model that BI tools will use to visualize the data
- Build ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) code to help move data from data sources to the landing spot
- Create data visualizations of the data and deliver BI reports to the Engineering user community
Requirements
- Working towards a bachelor’s or master’s/MBA Degree
- Strong communications skills – written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to problem-solve
- Continuous improvement mindset
- Ability to participate and work well in teams
- Possess an attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent assignments and tasks
Preferred Qualifications:
- Junior or Senior level standing
- Knowledge in database design and SQL
- Knowledge in data transfer methods such as csv files and programming languages such as python
- Knowledge in modern BI/data visualization tools such as Tableau
Location Notes:
- Position can be located in: Schaumburg, IL or anywhere within the USCC footprint
- No housing or living expenses provided with this internship.
