You will play an active role in running business operations for the VMware Tanzu Labs Platform Services Delivery team in the Americas. You will help operationalize our book of business, ensuring we achieve positive customer outcomes and business success by optimizing people allocations on customer engagements.

Success in the Role: What are the performance goals over the first 6-12 months you will work towards completing?

We need someone who is a relentless problem solver. You’ll be coached and mentored by supportive teammates every step of the way to achieve the following:

• You will monitor and understand the sales pipeline in order to anticipate staffing requirements and timelines

• You will be responsible for staffing customer projects to ensure customer needs are met and optimal billable utilization achieved across the team

• You will collaborate with Delivery Leaders, People Managers and Delivery Operations to achieve quarterly and annual objectives and key results

What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?

As a member of the VMware Tanzu Labs Platform Services Delivery Operations Team, you will drive staffing solutions that maximize customer experience and business performance. Your work will include:

• Understanding the process and business practices of the VMware Tanzu Labs Platform Services Organization

• Lead, manage, and operate the staffing function, including team scheduling and capacity forecasting

• Partnering with delivery leadership to proactively identify capacity risks and develop appropriate mitigation plans

• Maintaining an understanding of key skills needed, team members’ career aspirations, working with People Managers, and current skill sets, to align employees to engagement staffing needs

• Communicating with all levels including Global & Geographic Delivery Leadership, Individual Contributors and External Partners

What is leadership like for this role? What is the structure and culture of the team like?

You will be joining the Tanzu Labs Global Delivery Operations Team. We’re a supportive team with a passion for learning and sharing our knowledge. We are geographically dispersed so you will have the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues around the world. We value flexibility so you can choose to either be based in a VMware office or from home.

You will be supporting the Tanzu Labs Platform Services Delivery Team in AMER, as they support the world’s largest organizations with their most important Platform and DevSecOps challenges. While they are an internal team, you can view them as your ‘customer’, whom you will support through execution to ensure their success with external customers.

Where is this role located?
