Job Location: Tempe, AZ
Wells Fargo is seeking an expert product designer who is passionate about data management to join the Data Management Product Management team within Enterprise Data Management (EDM). The Product Management team supports all Data Management product areas by ensuring alignment with product vision and strategy while delivering customer-focused solutions which are desirable from a customer perspective, viable from a business perspective, and feasible from a capability perspective. This position reports directly to the Data Management Product Manager and helps to bring the Data Management vision to life through a customer-focused lens by rapidly testing new ideas with product teams and ensuring a simple, consistent end-to-end user experience across all product feature areas.
In this role, you will:
- Act as an advisor to senior leadership to develop or influence objectives, plans, specifications, resources, and long-term goals for highly complex business and technical needs across Data Management
- Strategically engage with all levels of professionals and managers across the enterprise and serve as an expert advisor to Data Management leadership
- Identify key customer journeys and bring them to life with models of customer experiences that extend across product areas, with embedded insights from analytics and user research
- Employ a broad array of user centered design tools including: customer experience brief, site strategy, wireframes or visual mockups, site layouts, site maps, taxonomies navigation schematics, task flows, design briefs, key screens, templates, prototypes
- Manage the design, creation, and production of customers experience elements from product concept through completion, including product updates and revisions
- Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices, and standards
- Provide support to product development teams building user interfaces
- Present research, design solutions, and key milestone deliverables to peers and executive level stakeholders
- Design, develop, test, and refine prototypes
- Develop and oversee planning and execution of projects, production schedules, and quality assurance
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
Required qualifications:
- 7+ years of Data Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 3+ years of digital design, mobile design experience or a combination of both with a focus on user experience
- 3+ years of experience in one or more of the following: Product management, product development, strategic planning, process management, change delivery or agile product owner
- 3+ years of financial industry experience
Desired qualifications:
- Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate complex material to a diverse audience
- Knowledgeable and have a deep understanding of the user-centered design process, including personas, task analysis, task flows, problem framing, interaction design, and content strategy
- Experience with design thinking methods and facilitating design thinking workshops
- Experience planning and guiding user research studies and building a learning agenda
- Experience synthesizing group discussions into concise, concrete bullet points and guiding abstract dialogue into actionable themes
- Knowledge and understanding of data governance program development and implementation in a large organization across multiple business functions
