Education Qualification: Graduates incomputer science/Mechanical or other branches with 5 to 6 years of experiencein data analysis in manufacturing/allied industry. BSc graduates withMathematics or statistics with 5 to 6 experiences in manufacturing environmentcan also be considered.
Post graduate engineers with specialization indata analysis with 3 to 5 years of experience in manufacturing and alliedenvironments is preferred.

Purposeof the role:
We are looking for a Senior Data Analyst (SDA) especially with 3 to 6years of experience in manufacturing environment to help us make betterbusiness decisions using information from our available manufacturing data. Youwill be working on designing various analytical reports on company data anddelivering them to top management and other interested parties. As an SDA, youwill be working with business users, collecting their requests, and thencreating BI reports to bring new business insights. SDA developers will beexpected to establish company standards and common reporting terminology and tohelp align existing and future reporting requests to such standards. You willalso be interacting with data engineers whenever data schemas need redesigningto accommodate new reporting requirements.
Role Description:
Understandingthe business requirements so as to formulate the problems to solve and restrictthe slice of data to be explored.
ImplementBI reports based on the Business requirements.
Performingcleansing, processing, and validation on the data subject to analyze, in orderto ensure its quality.
Abilityto perform data transformations, including aggregating and merging.
Performingstatistical analysis and experiments to derive business insights.
Partnerwith the business to consult on the performance of KPIs to help decision-makingand find new ways to utilize data to drive business outcomes.
Clearlycommunicating the findings from the analysis to turn information into somethingactionable through reports, dashboards, and/or presentations.
Workwith data engineers, data scientists, and data collection applicationengineers. Propose data schema and data flow optimization for reportingperformance and enhancement as needed.
Skills
Adeptat the use of BI reporting tools such as Power BI.
Additionalexposure to other BI reporting tools such as Grafana, Tableau would be helpful.
BasicsKnowledge of Python: Libraries like pandas, numpy, and sci-kit-learn areessential for data manipulation and analysis.
Proficiencyin SQL.
Understandingstatistical tests and tools is crucial. Certifications in application and usageof statistics is preferable.
Familiaritywith mean, median, variance, standard deviation, correlation, regression, andhypothesis testing can be fundamental.
Convertdescriptive analytics and data activation into actionable insights, joininginsights across our mobile and web experiences
Adeptat using automation tools in Power BI reporting for alerts, emails andscheduled jobs for dataset refreshes.
Goodunderstanding of DAX queries for creating business metrics
Understandingdata modelling, data schemas (normalized, flat, star, snowflake, etc.).
Skilledin data and query optimization, query profiling, and query performancemonitoring tools and techniques.
Understandingdatabase operations and optimization for databases such as Microsoft SQLServer, PostgreSQL, NoSQL and Timeseries database.
Problem-solvingabilities and a keen eye for details.
Handson experience in analysis of data in manufacturing environment is preferred
Managingpoints (Key KPI/KRAs): Productivity, Quality, delivery improved & Cost reduced by bringingnew insights of data analysis.
Functionalcompetency: Data Collection and Extraction, Data Analysis andVisualization , Programming Skills
Behavioralcompetency: Good incommunication, Meticulous in activities, Consistent and persistent to achieveresults.
