This Engineering Director in the Technology organization is responsible for the design and delivery of the BI (Business Intelligence) & Analytics solutions for the Finance Business partners. He/she will be working very closely with his technology peers and will ensure optimal data acquisition, enrichment and provisioning solutions which are critical for financial data insights in adherence with enterprise controls & compliance. Key priorities include leading innovation, technology transformation and leveraging modern technologies to accelerate and support business growth.

Responsibilities:

Key responsibilities include:

  • Deep understanding of the Product / Technology Platform’s underlying tech stack and its core components

  • Hands-on expertise in one or more relevant technologies

  • Strong systems integration architecture skills and a high degree of technical expertise, ranging across several technologies with a proven track record of turning new technologies into business solutions

  • Preferred experience in Finance processes

  • Preferred experience as an Agile technology leader, managing multiple Agile teams in a release train

  • Experience managing in a fast paced, complex, and dynamic global environment

  • External technology contributions (patents, noteworthy Open Source attributions, publications, etc.)

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels across functions, from both technical and non-technical perspectives alike

  • Proficient managerial skills as required to operate a large organization, including budgeting, resource planning, staff management, etc.

  • Able to define, influence and deliver software solutions against strategic plans that promote Company Platform objectives

  • Outstanding influential and collaboration skills; ability to drive consensus and tangible outcomes, demonstrated by breaking down silos and fostering cross communication process

  • Expert-level relevant hands-on engineering skills across a broad range of technologies (preferred knowledge in: Big Data Technologies, YellowBrick, Apache Flink/Spark, SingleStore, BI & Analytics Tools, MicroStrategy, Sisense, Tableau, Power BI etc.). Knowledge on Machine Learning is a plus.

  • Able to manage multiple priorities and rapidly guide the organization through change moments

  • Ability to manage large-scale applications in terms of performance, production assurance, capacity planning and threat mitigation

  • Demonstrate accountability, leading people with passion, enthusiasm, loyalty and integrity. Owns and leads HR processes such as employee engagement, performance reviews, talent development, etc.

  • Strong thought leadership skills with an ability to problem solve and create strategic plans

  • Strong mentoring and coaching skills to empower teams and help create trusting, cohesive environment

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Science Engineering, or any related field; advanced degree preferred

  • 14+ years of large-scale technology engineering and formal management in a complex environment and/or comparable experience such as:

  • Successful engineering and deployment of enterprise-grade technology products in an Agile environment

  • Large scale software product engineering experience with contemporary tools and delivery methods in a complex environment (i.e. DevOps, CI/CD, Agile, etc.)

  • Hands-on delivery experience in the fundamental components of the assigned portfolio’s primary technology stack(s) (some of them include Big Data Technologies, YellowBrick, Apache Flink, Apache Spark, Relational Databases, BI & Analytics Tools etc.)

  • Knowledge on Machine Learning will be a plus

  • Enterprise level Agile management and leadership skills preferred (PMP, SAFe RTE, LPM etc certifications)

  • Extensive experience as a leader within a Technology organization and/or in a product development company with experience that compliments the software product portfolio etc.

  • Successful assimilation of new technology into an existing technology stack

  • Outstanding influential and collaboration skills; ability to drive consensus and tangible outcomes, demonstrated by breaking down silos and fostering cross communication process

  • Outstanding ability to work as a team with peers dispersed across the globe
