Product Analyst

Whippany, NJ

As a Barclays Product Analyst, you will be sitting within the Data product function in US Fraud Technology which is working to deliver modern data platform capabilities for Fraud Business areas. You will also be understanding various data platforms and building knowledge base around the fraud systems and fraud systems related data across various data estate. Lastly, you will be an integral part of a data product team that will fundamentally change the way our Business teams access and leverage data.

What will you be doing?

  • Working to understand / document the process and systems relating to US Fraud
  • Supporting the senior and lead business analyst in documenting and managing new business requirements
  • You will be acting as a subject matter expert for the US Fraud Data services
  • Managing specific project business analysis workstreams to meet project targets
  • Effectively managing and reporting of own time to deliver against a project plan
  • Ensuring the delivery and presentation of business analysis is to appropriate levels of quality, on time and within budget in accordance with the project plan
  • Establishing and maintaining meaningful working relationships with the business and technical teams from scoping through to end solution delivery
  • Identifying process improvement opportunities through innovative techniques of analysis/segmentation

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong analytical skills with data driven approach and ability to grasp technical design is essential
  • Attention to detail in understanding business need, documenting the requirements for the engineering team to keep close track of changes to original scope is an essential skill required
  • Effective stakeholder management by maintaining strong relationships internally and with external partners requires strong interpersonal, negotiation and persuasion skills
  • Strong experience of working with Data relating to consumer banking products, ideally with experience at constructing SQL-type queries to review and compare data sets

Skills That Will Help You In The Role

  • Experience in Agile ways of working, including using Jira
  • Knowledge of Fraud systems and processes
