Job Summary:
Reporting to the Director of Business Solutions and functioning primarily within the Enterprise Analytics sub-Team within Business Solutions, you will be responsible for building-out Camden’s Enterprise Analytics platform. As a BI Systems and Data Developer, you will implement the architectural data constructs from the strategic designs and models developed by the BI Systems and Data Specialist. This position will play a critical role in leveraging data as a strategic asset for Camden. Collaborating with the broader Camden Enterprise Analytics Team and other departmental Teams within Camden, this position translates the strategic use of data giving Camden competitive advantage among our REIT peers.
Essential Functions:
Collaborate with Stakeholders, formalizing requirements for data architectures hosting data of varying volume, velocity and granularity
Leverage data mining/data cleansing techniques to design and develop data integrations moving data from its Source of Truth to various consumer end points and finally its final destination the Camden Data Warehouse
Develop ad-hoc analysis and reports for special on-demand data requests
Consult with Business Stakeholders to identify data sources, required data elements and data validation
Implement best practices in data modeling, version control and test-driven development to develop database objects (i.e. tables, views, triggers, stored procedures, tabular and multi-dimensional data models, fact and dimension tables, etc.)
Develop templatized data analytics and visualizations shared throughout Camden, standardizing Camden’s analytical User Experience
Anticipate data inconsistencies and analytical inaccuaracies by implementing and enforcing strict Master Data Management best practices
Troubleshoot in-place reporting solutions and engineers solutions or wholesale replacement of legacy reporting and analytics solutions using the intuitive tools minimizing or eliminating Stakeholder barriers
As a publicly traded company, we must be mindful of SOX governance. Adhering to all policies and procedures regarding computer usage, Change Management and Source Code Control, you are essential to ensuring data is accessible to ONLY the appropriate Teams within Camden
Be a liason between IT and other Camden departments. Keeping your Management Team and Stakeholders informed of all issues, you will ensure each is addressed and resolved within given Service Level Agreements (SLA’s).
Job Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Computer Science, Data Science/Analytics, or related discipline
3 -5 years or more of experience in Data Analytics or Business Intelligence roles
Proficiency with Power BI (DAX), Microsoft Excel, SQL, SSRS, SSIS and SSAS (MDX)
Excellent listening, communication and presentation skills
Excellent time management skills and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organization skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Experience working within Office 365 (MS Teams, OneDrive, Power Apps, Power Automate, etc.) is preferred
Multifamily housing /commercial real estate experience is preferred
