Job Detail:
Imagine a unique opportunity to gain knowledge of global supply chain processes from the ground up! The IT Business Analyst position at Dayton Parts, a Dorman Company, shall act as a liaison among stakeholders to understand the capabilities required to meet transformational business objectives. The IT Business Analyst shall document business requirements and test cases for developers and engineers to use in solution design, build, and operations.
Primary Duties:
- Develop and maintain strong partnerships with key business stakeholders
- Understand and document the business processes and objectives for every business request. Ensure the entire project team understands the business context and is focused on delivering business value
- Lead the development of detailed business requirements for approved changes and projects
- Facilitate requirements elicitation sessions within the end user community
- Develop and document processes, use cases, stories, acceptance criteria etc. to demonstrate requirements
- Communicate functional and non-functional requirements to developers
- Partner with developers to ensure initial alignment between business requirements and IT solutions
- Ensure test plans are developed and executed in alignment with internal standards and external compliance requirements
- Ensure Acceptance Testing confirms test results meet documented business needs
- Partner with users to ensure training plans and materials support overall business requirements
- Perform other essential duties as assigned
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate is a quick study, great communicator, technically savvy and has a diversified skillset in various aspects of IT business analysis and quality assurance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Education & Experience:
- 3+ years as IT Business Analyst
- Working knowledge of manufacturing and supply chain processes
- Working knowledge of ERP systems
- BS in Computer Science, Information System, Engineering or similar from an accredited 4-year college or university
- Physical Requirement: Capability to lift 20 pounds.
Location: Shiremanstown, PA with possibility of working remote up to 2 days per week
