Job Detail:

Expand your professional portfolio as a Business Analyst I with MAU at our client in Greer, SC. As a Business Analyst I, you will oversee business process analysis, cost/benefit analysis, design, and simulation for small to medium-sized projects. This is a long-term contract assignment with an opportunity for hire by the client.

Our client, a premier automotive company, is located in the upstate area of SC.

Requirements

  • BA or BS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Science, Business or equivalent
  • 3+ years of experience in an IT Application or Infrastructure Profession
  • 3+ years of project leadership or system responsibility experience in an IT environment
  • 3+ years of experience as a Systems Analyst
  • 3+ years of experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Project Management training (desired)

Responsibilities

  • Partner with business units to analyze current operational procedures, identify problems and learn specific input and output requirements such as forms of data input, how data is to be processed, and how the results will be managed
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in the current as-is process and work with the business to define the to-be process
  • Partner with the global network to ensure synergies with existing systems and alignment with group strategy
  • Review and analyze system capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations to determine if the requested program or program change is possible within the existing system
  • Identify and differentiate system configurations from programming solutions
  • Prepare time and cost estimates for completing projects
  • Write detailed functional specifications for program development
  • Perform and document system configurations
  • Coordinate system interface design and development
  • Provide on-call support as needed
  • Prepare/coordinate technical reports, process documentation, test plans, training needs assessment, and implementation plans
  • Follow systems development methodology to support the Department Manager and Process IT with specific elements of projects to schedule
  • Remain accountable for efficient and maintainable results that meet business requirements
  • Research and coordinate feasibility studies and make recommendations on process changes and automation in support of improving business processes and cost savings
  • Ensure target achievement is consistently attained
  • Create process change by integrating new processes with existing ones
  • Recommend and facilitate quality improvement efforts
  • Stay up to date on future innovations and technical trends, applying this to direct future changes
  • Remain knowledgeable of the solutions available as well as best practices for the business processes
  • Serve as an IT project manager for small-medium sized projects overseeing resources assigned, conducting status meetings, and effectively communicating the project status to stakeholders as delegated by the Department Manager and Process IT
  • Develop project plans and administer the change control processes, ensuring that tasks are completed on time and within budget
  • Work closely with the business to understand the business requirements to determine the correct system design
  • Prepare business process mapping and function design
  • Prepare identification of gaps in the business process
  • Analyze business partner’s operations to understand their strengths and weaknesses, determining opportunities to automate processes and functions
  • Assist and recommend business process redesign and documentation as needed
  • Translate high-level business requirements into functional specifications for IT development
  • Assist the Department Manager and Process IT with negotiation agreements and commitments by facilitating communication with the business and design
  • Serve as a liaison between the company and development team to ensure the technical solution meets the business needs as delegated by the Department Process IT
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Operations Supervisor
