  • Develop protocols and documentation to help ensure go-forward support of complex solutions and deliverables

  • Provide periodic reporting on solution usage and corresponding user demographics

Required Skills

Our salary ranges are market-driven and set to allow for flexibility. Individual pay will be competitive based on a candidate’s unique set of knowledge, skills, and geographic diversity, with earnings potential commensurate with experience. The range for this position is:

$77,000.00 – $129,000.00 annually.

Working closely with business teams, data engineering, and analytics departments, you’ll grow to be instrumental in creating, maintaining, and developing sophisticated machine learning models aimed at driving key business outcomes such as growth, retention, and product enhancements. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute directly to the organization’s success, reporting directly to the Director of Data Science and interacting regularly with senior business leaders including the CTO and Senior Director of Data Engineering.

Responsibilities:
  • Model Maintenance and Enhancement: Take ownership of the ongoing maintenance and iterative improvement of existing machine learning and AI models to ensure they continue to deliver optimal performance.
  • Model Development: Collaborate in the design and development of new predictive models, including tasks such as feature engineering, data preparation, and model training.
  • Monitoring and Decay Detection: Assist in the implementation of monitoring systems to track model performance and detect any signs of model decay, ensuring prompt and effective responses to potential issues.
  • Reporting and Presentation: Regularly report on model results and insights, presenting findings in a clear and impactful manner to stakeholders and business leaders to support informed decision-making.
Qualifications:
Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years’ experience in data science, with a solid foundation in machine learning, statistics, and data analysis.
  • Proficient understanding of machine learning techniques and algorithms.
  • Dedicated work ethic and passion for data, excellent problem-solving skills and ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to present data-driven insights clearly to technical and non-technical audience.
Preferred:
  • Experience with programming languages such as Python with Jupyter Notebooks.
  • Experience with SQL and experience in working with large datasets.
  • Experience with data science toolkits and libraries such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or similar.
  • Preferred hands-on experience with Snowflake, Redshift, or similar for data warehousing solutions and data transformations.
  • Preferred proficiency in using a BI Tool, like Tableau, for data visualization and business intelligence.

The Junior Business Intelligence Engineer:

  • Advises product team and stakeholders to develop functional strategies on matters of significance spanning product design, sales & marketing, user experience, product performance and clinical outcomes.
