The IT BA Supervisor will be responsible for business analyst work on projects as well as responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing the activities of a team of business analysts relating to requirements, solution design, UAT, implementation, and support of IT solutions. Maintains an understanding of the active projects and workload of the team, including policies, business drivers, current system issues, and additional system needs, etc. Supervises the day-to-day work of business analysts, to implement system solutions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collaborate with end-users of all ITS solutions and services to identify technical, functional and process-based system improvements and optimization.
• Work closely with ITS Management on the delivery of system projects and releases, including but not limited to new business implementation and major system upgrades.
• Document system and end-user requirements and deliver to the software application development team, acting as the bridge between the business and IT throughout the process to ensure software application development solutions meet business needs.
• Mentor, supervise and provide expertise to business analysts.
• Create and/or update functional systems documentation for existing systems; define and document business rules and use cases.
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of business system applications and interfaces.
• Build a healthy relationship with direct reports driving the team’s culture and assisting with their career development.
• Evaluate performance of direct reports and provide feedback on a regular basis.
• Collaborate with IT managers and leaders ensuring communication and the needs of team members are met.
• Provide feedback to Information Technology Services (ITS) Management on how to continually improve ITS processes.
• Oversee the day-to-day assignments and tasks of direct reports.
• Provide oversight and be a point of escalation on assigned team projects or initiatives.
• Provide regular updates to ITS Management on the progress and status of assigned projects and initiatives.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for immediate supervision of assigned ITS team members; instructs, assigns, and checks their work at intervals; responsible for planning, coordinating, and directing their activities.

• Ability to handle frequent and random changes understanding when building custom software nothing is 100% predictable

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, business analysis, project management, operations or a related field; 5+ years of experience in a business analysis or similar role; and/or equivalent combination of education and experience; 2+ years of experience in team lead and/or supervisory role.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to interface with both technical and business team members at all levels within an organization.
• Strong mentoring, supervisory, and leadership skills.
