I. Job Summary
This position will support the execution of WM’s marketing measurement strategy by guiding the Demand Generation team with the data and insights needed to build and deploy strategic marketing and media plans. This role will not only provide direction to internal stakeholders, but also develop insights and apply those learnings into marketing campaigns. The ideal candidate will have subject matter expertise in marketing, data science and reporting.
The Marketing Analytics role will support Demand Generation campaign reporting across all lines of business and additional project-based work. He/she will also support on KPI planning, Data Models, Brand Tracker, the WM Phoenix Open, and other Demand Generation project-based work.
II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.
- Derive deeper insights into campaign performance. Advise internal stakeholders on measurement strategy as well as marketing performance reporting.
- Design and manage campaign measurement against a rigorous set of KPI’s for measurable success of national and regional marketing initiatives.
- Share data that empowers Marketing Managers and executives to utilize cutting edge techniques in planning, execution, tracking and evaluation of marketing activities
- Works closely with Area Sales and Brand marketing teams by providing guidance on marketing performance to help manage local investments as well as develop proactive scalable initiatives that lead to business growth locally
- Liaison with WM Media Agency and Internal website team to compile marketing data for informed reporting

IV. Qualifications
The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job.
A. Education and Experience
Education: Bachelor’s Degree (accredited) in Marketing or similar area of study, or in lieu of High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and four years of experience.
Experience: Five (5) years of experience in marketing science and/or analytics role (in addition to education requirement)
B. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements
Google Analytics, Adobe Experience Cloud, Salesforce, Marchex, Reputation.com
C. Other Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required
- Has strong analytical and critical thinking skills with a passion for generating data-based insights.
- Has worked in or with a research organization and thereby developed a talent for taking complex concepts and distilling them into clear accessible formats.
- 3+ years of experience with econometric techniques for test design, marketing attribution, predictive modeling.
- Experience working with relational databases and building Marketing Mix or other Marketing Attribution Model.
- Demonstrable knowledge working with large user level datasets and has expertise in combining multiple datasets together to generate strategic insights that drive campaign and targeting strategies
- Has the ability to oversee or develop Market Clustering by DMA/MSA using internal and external factors that impact business and share a strategic pooling of regional spend around areas of highest growth potential.
