We have an opening on the Enterprise Information Management team for a Senior Data Analyst located at our global headquarters (or remote US) focused on the archiving and deletion to meet legal and regulatory requirements in the countries in which we operate.

The position will support execution of the corporate retention and deletion polices for SAP and non-SAP structured and unstructured data. You will conduct research of archiving error logs to aid in maximizing the archiving runs. In addition, you will provide operational support for existing archiving activities. The analyst will work with functional teams to ensure errors are cleaned up in a timely manner and work to identify the root cause and implement preventative measures.

What you’ll do:

  • Execute enterprise data archiving strategy by working with DT Support staff, Business staff, Legal, Tax and Enterprise Records Management groups for structured and unstructured data.
  • Conduct testing for both release cycles and disaster recovery test cycles.
  • Provide Operational support for SAP and Non-SAP archiving.
  • Perform periodic status review of archive objects and address open issues.
  • Perform periodic SAP table size review to ID potential archive needs.
  • Request and make configuration changes in SAP and OpenText Archive Server to meet archive object setup and changes.
  • Support and improve the Data Archiving dashboards, reports, and processes.
  • Act as a contact for those in need of access to legacy system data that was archived.
  • Support Application Retirement for M&A, etc.
  • Monitor archived data that has met its retention policy and send deletion review notifications and delete data after approval has been given.
  • Assist with the preparation and revision of training materials, user manuals and other project related documentation.
  • Monitor Archiving batch processes and follow up on tickets.
  • Serve as lead on Archiving initiatives and projects.
  • Lead a team of 3-5 team members for day-to-day operations, managing workload, demand, employee development, etc.
  • Ensure team complies with all internal policies and procedures including Release/Change/Test Management, Incident/Problem Management, Corporate Policies and procedures.

What we’re looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years IT experience is desired
  • 3+ years SAP Archiving experience is desired
  • Experience leading a team desired
  • Data retention / deletion policy experience is desired
  • Data deletion tool (especially SAP ILM) experience is desired
  • Awareness of GDPR, PII principles a plus
  • SAP ABAP programming experience a plus
  • Understanding of the OpenText Archive Server a plus
  • SAP functional experience a plus
  • Automated batch scheduling (e.g., Automic / UC4) experience a plus
  • Ability to handle conflicting and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and closure
  • Continuous improvement mindset with strong analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Passion for automation and driving work process efficiency is desired
  • Ability to communicate and work effectively across global teams and with all levels of the company
  • Proficient in MS Office suite of tools
