The Altec Service Group has service centers and an extensive fleet of mobile service vehicles and technicians across the United States and Canada. This critical position is responsible for providing excellent customer support and satisfaction within the Service Support areas: Administrative, Inventory, and Parts. Responds to customer inquiries and resolves customer issues. Provides updates to Team Lead for internal teams on customer needs that contribute to the customer satisfaction.
Major Responsibilities
Business Data Analyst
- Confers with internal customers, and vendors to address questions, problems, or requests for service
- Resolves problems with strong analytical and administrative abilities
- Support Service Group national level efforts in data maintenance
- Interfaces extensively with end users, peers, and other Business/lnformation Technology personnel for the translation of all data related business cases
- Uses SQL query writing skills
- Uses Business Intelligence software (e.g. Qlik Sense, Power BI)
- Demonstrates advance knowledge of Excel such as Pivot table/charts, Power queries, and advance functions
- Articulates data & data findings to others with different levels of data expertise
- Uses Microsoft O365 Power Platform (Power Automate/Power Apps)
- Maintains databases to help classify and store information
- Support routine data & reporting activities
- Ability to clearly articulate data & data findings to others with different levels of data expertise
- Project experience working closely with teams and the ability to work on complex issues
- Effectively represents Team Altec; Communicates any customer needs/requests within Service’s scope to the appropriate Altec entity or External entity
- All other responsibilities as required
Education, Experience, and Skills Required
Should the selected candidate meet the qualifications of a more experienced level in the career path, the job level may be adjusted.
- High School Diploma or GED required and
- Two years of experience in data analytics required or in a similar job function
Related experience would include SQL query writing skills, solid EXCEL skills such as pivot tables/charts, and familiarity with relational databases
Or (Preferred)
- Bachelor’s Degree in STEM discipline (such as computer science, information technologies, data science, statistics, economics, and or mathematics) and
- One year of experience in data analytics or similar job function – related experience would include SQL query writing skills, advance Excel skills, and familiarity with relational databases
- Must have demonstrated experience of providing high levels of customer support
- Strong Computer Skills, especially in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
- Demonstrated Problem Solving Skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Solid team player with a collaborative nature
- Ability to multitask and handle multiple transactions
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication
