Your Opportunity

The Mutual Fund and Alternative Investment Platform Support Team is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to support our exciting Mutual Fund modernization initiative. The team’s goal is to build trust, credibility, and strong partnerships with all business lines, technology support, vendors, and the industry by setting high standards, demonstrating patterns of successful execution, providing thoughtful and strategic guidance in daily interactions, and fostering collaboration, open communication, and transparency.


What you are good at

The Senior Business Analyst will assist the Platform Support Team with several key initiatives including, but not limited to, the below items. The Senior Business Analyst will be responsible for functional informational interviewing, requirements writing and gathering, technology enhancement tracking, creating, and coordinating platform user and regression testing, training materials, and the implementation management of a new third party contract management system. These tasks will be in support of Mutual Fund operational applications, processes, and the various downstream interfaces that are dependent on those systems and processes.
  • Independently manages complex project tasks, leads interviews, owns facilitation of discussions, and communications with impacted areas regarding project deliverables including senior leadership
  • Works with business partners to understand business processes, process flows, business needs and analyze problems, identify viable solutions, and ultimately implement enhancements
  • Represents business owners and end users and collaborating with technology and or vendors to meet a clearly identified “Business Need” which will benefit from a technology-based solution.
  • Advocate of efficient screen flow and ensuring that process flows match the way people actually work, creating useful systems that people want to work with, and work to guide the creation of intuitive and natural interfaces.
  • Responsible for providing project and business analysis expertise and support to the department and assist them in meeting their business objectives; bringing leadership, perspective, consistency of approach, and quality assurance to assigned projects.
  • Create presentation materials including Leadership project updates, workflow diagrams, and decision matrixes
  • Analyzes sophisticated business problems and issues using data and information from internal and external sources to provide insight to decision-makers.
  • Constructs recommendations and strategic/tactical plans based on business data and market knowledge.
  • Supports various project methodology business requirement development (e.g., RUP, Agile, etc.), defining acceptance criteria, and assisting in defining prioritization
  • Data management analysis and mapping to support the implementation of the new vendor application and to disseminate data to downstream applications

  • Ability to effectively manage projects within a multi-functional project team (internal and external technology, operations, product, and business organizations)
  • Cultivates productive working relationships within the team, cross domains as well as system vendors
  • Demonstrates flexibility, time management, and good decision making skills when dealing with multiple tasks, changing priorities, varying stakeholder styles, and project complexities
  • Must be organized and detail oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Committed to creating a culture that identifies innovative solutions and drives improvement
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills with internal and external customers
  • Sophisticated knowledge of Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Visio and other MS Office Products and applications required to perform daily implementation functions
  • 5+ years of Brokerage Operation and/or business analysis experience; preferably in Mutual Funds
  • Agile training and knowledge of JIRA and Confluence is preferred
  • BA/BS degree preferred

Colorado Compensation

Target Total Compensation – 121,100-242,000
