Internship Development Program – Data Analyst

THE PROGRAM

Enact’s Internship Program provides an excellent opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in achieving business results while developing technical and professional skills. The internship program is a critical component of Enact’s talent pipeline as we look to interns to provide cutting edge ideas and skills that will drive business success.

Enact invests time, energy, and resources to create a worthwhile experience for interns. Interns work on meaningful business projects, but beyond that, they will network directly with leaders throughout the company (all the way up to the CEO), attend teambuilding events with their internship cohort, connect with the community through volunteer opportunities (both on-site and off-site), and attend professional development workshops. It’s a unique internship experience that helps interns develop a network of peers and mentors who act as a source of constant engagement and guidance during the internship.

YOUR ROLE

In addition to the multiple weekly events attended by all interns, you’ll work alongside industry experts for a 12-week internship beginning May 15, 2023.The Resource Optimization Center (ROC) team is one of the three teams within the Enterprise Analytics Department. ROC uses analytics and automation to optimize processes related to production across the business.

The core goals of ROC are to improve key performance indicators by queue & service level agreement optimization, performance reporting via analytics & dashboards, advanced modeling for decision making, proactive analytical recommendations, and process optimization. The ROC Intern will assist with continuous improvement of processes and analytics that enables customers to be more self-sufficient using tools such as Tableau and Excel.

Your Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with customers and key stakeholders to document business requirements and processes
  • Develop dashboards to automate manual reports and increase visibility into key performance metrics
  • Lead meetings and presentations with stakeholders
  • Gather insights into current reporting to improve and optimize the processes
  • Support Enact’s values of Improvement and Connection through participation in events and development opportunities

Your Qualifications

  • Current sophomore or junior
  • Coding experience in at least one language, preferably SAS, SQL, Python, or R
  • Understanding of conditional commands
  • Visualization experience, preferably Tableau
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Aptitude for critical thinking and using resources to create sustainable solutions
