Power BI Specialist/Training Coordinator

Job Summary:

The BI Specialist will assist business function and needs with intelligence and information technology solutions to improve operations and profitability.

The BI Specialist is responsible for managing data retrieval and analysis within the organization. Their duties include organizing data, communicating between different levels of management and the IT department, and analyzing data to determine the businessโ€™s needs.

The BI Specialist will support Training Manager 25-30% of the time on pre and post class activities.

Responsibilities

POWER BI (70-75% of time):

  • Developing and managing business intelligence solutions for the organization
  • Help the entire region produce high quality reports for various platforms, including, but not limited to safety, financials, and training
  • Analyze data and provide reports for the region from training and CI
  • Learn other roles with training assistance and/or continuous improvement special projects
  • Identifying the development needs for the purpose of streamlining and improving the operations of the organization for efficiency and profitability

TRAINING (25-30% of time):

  • Track and record registration of training classes
  • Track and record completion of assignments for virtual classes
  • Distribute workbooks before class and completion certificates and giveaways after class
  • Manage inventory of giveaways for leadership and safety classes
  • Assist in recording both audio and video training classes or podcasts, and posting the recordings on SP site
  • Coordinate site location addresses and classroom set up prior to class

Qualifications:

  • Bachelorโ€™s Degree in business economics, information science or related field
  • Highly proficient in Power BI
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • A team player with the desire to learn, grow and expand the role with involvement with every department
  • An understanding of budgeting procedures, methods, evaluation criteria and resource planning
  • Background in construction is not required
  • CBAP (Preferred)
