Position Description

As Product Manager, Data Analytics, you will own the development road map for data commercialization efforts, including deidentified data commercialization, develop cross business data and analytics tools, built on top of a common data framework, and develop foundational capabilities, like master data management or new technology adoption, that can be used across our portfolio of businesses.


Key Responsibilities

  • Define product strategy, leveraging creativity, deep understanding of pharmacy stakeholder pain points, desired gains, market trends and competitive landscape.

  • Clearly define, document, and communicate business requirements, UX, and system requirements within a formalized process and structure of Epics, User Stories, etc., in partnership with business leadership and development teams.

  • Partner with business leadership and development to ensure clear understanding of needs and the rationale behind priorities, and support optimal solutioning and value-creation

  • Act as a liaison for multiple cross-functional stakeholder teams, including UX, Engineering, Innovation, Product Management form other businesses, Legal, Finance, Regulatory and cross business organizations.

  • Ensure success through communication, project management, knowledge transfer and training, and subject-matter expertise

  • Drive functional priorities for data and business intelligence products, including exploring new growth areas, defining product features and offerings, and supporting go-to-market strategies

  • Own ‘voice of the customer’ through regular interaction with business users and clients, building effective relationships to become a domain expert on supply chain and clinical data sets that intersect our affiliate businesses.

  • Own the product roadmap and priorities along with the business plan for your product. Drive products through their end-to-end lifecycle, from requirements gathering to scoping, roadmap planning, execution, delivery, continuous improvement and growth.

  • Manage complex schedules that involve both internal and external teams, across hardware and software. Multi-task and prioritize activities for quick execution of critical path work items.


Minimum Requirements

  • Degree or equivalent and typically requires 4+ years of relevant experience


Requirements

  • 4-8 years of experience as a Product Manager, Owner, Product Analyst or related relevant experience, ideally with substantial experience in the healthcare IT industry

  • At least 2 years of prior experience working on a Data Analytics product and with Cloud technologies in a B2B environment

  • Knowledge/experience working with Agile methodologies and working with tools like JIRA, Confluence, Aha!, and with iterative / scrum development

  • Experience writing business requirements, including UX, functional, and related system requirements, communicating complex concepts in a simplified, easy to understand format through text, diagrams, and wireframes as appropriate

  • Detail and results oriented; skilled at both planning and hands-on execution. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are a must have

  • Effective communicator with multiple audiences, from senior-level to entry level, internal and external, particularly with storytelling, influencing based on data

  • Proven ability to handle multiple work streams at once, with multiple stakeholders, and getting products/features delivered

  • Collaborative and team-oriented, with an ability to build strong working relationships across levels and departments


Critical
Skills:

  • Trained in Pragmatic Marketing or other similar methodology

  • Technical competencies within SQL and data visualization (e.g. PowerBI) tools to perform data exploration/early stage requirements development

  • Prior experience using healthcare data information and with data deidentification programs

  • Educational background in Information Technology, Analytics, Data Science, Health Economics or Statistics


Education

  • 4-year bachelor’s degree, with coursework in business, engineering, data science, information technology, computer science, economics, finance, or equivalent experience.


Other:

  • Travel up to 20%, when appropriate

  • Position is co-located with key, US-based McKesson locations and/or hubs, following McKesson’s Office as a Destination program: Dallas, TX; Atlanta, GA; Pittsburgh, PA; Columbus, OH; Richmond, VA

  • Role will be work from home with the expectation of periodic collaboration meetings at one of these locations and some travel for team, customer, and industry meetings.
