Fully Remote – Sales Compensation Analyst
Position Summary:
This individual analyzes, designs, and administers compensation programs including base pay, long and short-term incentives, bonuses, commissions, and stock that align with ADT Solar’s objectives for recruiting, retention, and employee engagement. This is a highly analytical position that requires solid knowledge of sales process compensation, data analysis, financial analysis, and forecasting to optimize company profitability while providing competitive compensation to employees. Successful incumbents will possess and develop solid understanding of compensation practices. They will be proficient in all facets of analytics including business analysis, data aggregation, data quality, reporting, and will have a strong working knowledge of standard analytics tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Analyze compensation package trends to ensure industry competitiveness and employee retention
- Develops analytical processes to monitor sales and commissions trends at all levels of the organization.
- Develops organizational and economic forecasting models and trend analyses. Focus will be on commissions models and policies which incent performance while minimizing chargeback write-offs.
- Prepares sales forecasts and collects and analyzes data to evaluate current sales goals.
- Provides input on pay structures, grades, and guidelines for commissioned roles.
- Researches all facets of the commissions process for ADT Solar including earned commissions, payouts, sales performance, and reversals.
- Advises managers on making effective pay decisions that support employee engagement and comply with compensation policy and budgetary guidelines.
- Evaluates jobs and develops and maintains job description and job architecture.
- Participates in compensation surveys, conducts research and analysis on market competitiveness, pay equity, and compensation trends.
- Works closely with other organizational groups to understand data and provide relevant, informative insights.
- Produces reports and visualizations that provide easy to understand information required for decision-making.
- Researches and evaluates current economic conditions that may affect the organization’s ability to sell its products or services in the marketplace.
- Recommends changes to current sales techniques, procedures or promotional efforts based on market research and new trends.
- Analyzes and reports sales commissions and chargebacks, providing real-time feedback to leaders and employees.
- Develops and disseminates reporting models and reporting tools tracking sales goals, performance, and budgets.
- May assist with developing commissions budget allocations that conform with budgetary policies and limits.
- Monitors economic conditions and conducts revenue forecast analysis, suggests strategies to boost revenue.
- Provides analytical support for forward-looking financial and business-related projects.
- Assists in financial forecasting and reconciliation of internal accounts specific to sales compensation.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in Human Resources and/or a quantitative field.
- 3 – 5 years of experience in employee compensation.
- 1 – 3 years of experience in sales compensation.
- Demonstrated experience in utilizing quantitative methods in an organizational support capacity.
- Demonstrated experience utilizing analytics platform such as PowerBI, Tableau, or other related platforms.
