About the role :-

Our Global Analytics Hub is the backbone of our 800+ person strong analytics practice globally. The Analytics Hub functions as a center of excellence in creating efficiencies and driving standardization across all Essence Mediacom Analytics teams in North America, Europe and APAC. The Hub is involved in multiple areas of the business including media campaign analytics, tool development & automation and is critical to the continued success of our Global Analytics offering. This role based out of the hub in Gurgaon , forms part of a globally distributed business intelligence team, whose objective is to ensure that our clients have access to the right data and insights in order to inform their marketing decisions. The teams primary responsibility is to maintain Cloud based reporting solutions, which automates the collection and transformation of disparate marketing data into a single source of truth. Not only does that mean running and maintaining the solution that already exists, but also continually improving it to incorporate new data sources, and to derive new insights, to support ever-evolving business demands. As an Associate Director, reporting directly to the Senior Director , you will be instrumental in the creation and evolution of this critical initiative. This role requires heavy lifting on data engineering to specifically manage all the data flowing into the engine from varied sources. Your primary responsibility will be liaising with other regional teams and external vendors and will be responsible for a team of data engineers focused on building underlying data infrastructure that provides the wider team with the data they need to provide timely, accurate and meaningful deliverables & reporting. Some of the things we’d like you to do :-

Responsible for the development of technical solutions, in line with specifications, that collect, store and transform disparate data sources

Responsible for the development and maintenance of automated jobs that ensure required data is made available in an efficient and scalable way as possible

Development and maintenance of data quality checks and procedures, helping account teams overcome data issues before they impact the quality of the reporting solution

Support the translation of user requirements and business needs into technical specifications Become a proficient user of Google Cloud Platform and associated technologies, ensuring your work incorporates industry best practice

Collaborate cross functionally and lead your team in project setup, support members of the team responsible for last mile transformation and visualization of data within Google Data Studio reports and dashboards

Provide hands-on support to users of reportion solutions, helping the wider team triage and respond to user queries in a timely manner

Attend internal stakeholder meetings, presenting your solutions and providing updates on your work.Support the development of strong working relationships with third-party data providers that we rely on for access to necessary data.

Provide direction and leadership to direct reports, working with them on goals, motivations, and career progression Play a prominent role in the induction of new employees, teaching them Essence Mediacoms approach to Analytics

Work across, and with, all bands, disciplines, and offices, ensuring continuous collaboration and progression

A bit about yourself :-

8+ years of previous experience working with data and technology with AWS or GCP

Experience with programming and/or statistical languages (e.g. Python, SQL)

Analytically minded, enabling you to understand and overcome technically complex challenges, and to tell compelling stories with data

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, including the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fairly autonomous way

Strong spoken and written communication skills, ensuring your thoughts and needs are heard and understood

An ability to demonstrate a passion for the digital marketing ecosystem, and an understanding of the role that data plays within it

Strong work ethic, deliver best results when working in a team environment, and an ability to partner effectively with people of varying degrees of technical capability

3+ years of experience in managing a team (sometimes remotely) effectively to bring out the best in their skill sets, motivating them to succeed, and keeping their focus.


Experience building underlying data pipelines and ETL, particularly useful if done using Google Cloud Platform, Airflow, DBT etc.

Experience with digital marketing platforms and the data they generate, in particular Google Marketing Platform, Facebook, Twitter etc. Knowledge of their API s a plus.

An understanding of how data is tracked and exchanged in the process of digital advertising (e.g. role of ad servers and other third-party tech vendors)

Experience using or building reports with business intelligence software, ideally Google DataStudio

Work experience within a marketing organization, preferably at a media agency or related company (e.g. publisher, ad tech, client marketing org
