SUMMARY:

The Joint Industry Board of the Electrical Industry (JIB) was established in 1943 by the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local Union No. 3 and employers affiliated with the National Electrical Contractors Association. Its mission is to promote harmony between employees and employers, administer benefits for members and their families and improve competitiveness through progressive management, education, training and technology.

We are seeking an experienced Jr. Business Analyst with strong Help Desk background to provide analytical and technical support to our Learning Management System and Filehandler System users and all related stakeholders. This analyst will also provide support for the EESISP Certificate of Insurance System. The ideal candidate will possess analytical, technical, and high-level customer service skills within eLearning environment.

Our Learning Management System manages the administration, documentation, tracking, course management, reporting and delivery of all Industry related courses for approximately 15, 000 users.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Reporting to the Senior Business Process Manager, under general supervision, the Jr. Business Analyst will be responsible for but not limited to:

Learning Management System Responsibilities:

· Serve as the first point of contact for members seeking technical assistance to end users onsite and in a remote location.

· Assist members in registering for online courses and setting up voice authentication for those courses.

· Record events and problem and their resolution in logs.

· Direct unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel.

· Work with software and course venders to troubleshoot and customize systems.

· Assist in testing and rollout of new versions of LMS and content.

· Write custom SQL reports and streamline existing SQL reports.

· Coordinate mainframe updates with IT.

· Work with other departments to train and assist with LMS tasks.

· Set up user accounts, permissions and passwords.

· Develop online courses using the Articulate software.

· Provide support for the Asure ID database for New York City DOB ID SST cards.

· Take photos for New York City DOB ID SST cards

· Provide technical support to staff for the New York City SST program.

Filehandler (WC/DB/PFL) Responsibilities:

· Involved in various projects and System Enhancements regarding Filehandler Application plus continued maintenance and support of project release.

· Resolve user’s day to day operations regarding Filehandler Application.

· Create New and Maintain existing FileHandler SQL Queries for reports

· Analyze data for inconsistencies.

· Run regular & AdHoc reports

· Resolve Filehandler reconciliation issues with other departments ex. Accounting

· Communicate with vendors and various stakeholders to gather project requirements.

· Point of contact for FileHandler/Technical related problems on the EESISP floor.

COI Responsibilities:

· Resolve escalated problems to help employers create their online certificates.

· Password resets, special cases Certificate Printing.

Safety Incentive Plan:

· Assist in performing tasks associated with annual implementation of safety incentive plan for employers.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as desktop computers, phone, scanner, printer, keyboard, photocopiers, shredder and fax.

Physical Demands

Sedentary work environment with physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the functions of this job. This would require the ability to lift files, pull files/forms/books, stand, bending, shred documents, open/close filing cabinets as necessary.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Potential Conversion to Hybrid – Remote Schedule TBD After Training Period.

Flexibility: Must be able to work overtime when necessary.

Travel

No travel is expected for this position.

Required Experience, Skills, and Qualifications

· A degree in IT / Computer Science, BSc/BA in IT, Computer Science or relevant field.

· Two years’ experience as a junior business analyst with help desk experience.

· One to two years’ experience in writing SQL queries.

· One to two years’ experience with Microsoft SQL & Postgres

· Proficient in Microsoft Office

· Strong written and verbal communication skills including technical writing skills.

· Customer-oriented and cool-tempered with good interpersonal skills and a proven ability to interact easily and cooperatively with end-users and peers.

· Working knowledge of office automation products, databases computer systems and other tech products.

· Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues.

Base Annual Salary $65,000 Plus FICA Reimbursement
