Purpose Of Role

The Sr. SEO analyst is responsible for developing and executing Search Engine Optimization (SEO) strategies to improve Lowes.com visibility in all major search engines to drive increased traffic from search engines to Hiring Company.

The Sr. SEO Analyst is responsible for overall analysis and performance of organic traffic to Hiring Company in their owned areas of the business. Supports the development and implementation of SEO strategies, including data and technical analysis, on-page optimization, content gap analysis, local SEO strategy, competitive research and reporting. Has experience with HTML/CSS/Javascript and web development programs to make technical changes to improve organic rankings in search results. Works with stakeholders such as digital merchandising, onsite search & navigation, UX, production, business operations and other teams to ensure successful growth of organic traffic to Hiring Company. Also works with enterprise teams such as marketing, data science and analytics to address opportunities to improve Hiring Company performance. Will work on new and existing ideas bringing them from concept to success, with ownership over projects but supported by a manager to succeed.

This individual demonstrates the ability to be a self-starter and create processes from start to finish including coordinating projects with SEO analysts, requiring minimal input from management to bring a project to market.

Customer obsession, a bias for action (including knowing when/how to take calculated risks), and a desire to never stop learning are principles expected of this individual.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and executes the overall Search Engine Optimization (SEO) plan to improve traffic to Lowe’s.
  • Researches and analyzes performance, competition, and market trends to identify opportunities for improvement. Creating detailed plans for projects and projecting forecasted impact.
  • Monitors key performance indicators to continually iterate on programs and improve SEO performance.
  • Uses established and new methodologies to accurately measure the success of projects.
  • Builds cross-functional non-siloed relationships and a network of resources.
  • Accepts daily inquiries from internal and external partners across the enterprise that include tactical questions around various site functionalities.
  • Influences others through technical explanations and examples, keeping partner teams on track by prioritizing actions and following up on deliverables.
  • Works with SEO analysts to develop plan of action to improve overall organic visibility and traffic for assigned areas.
  • Ability to prioritize workload based on time sensitivity, impact and effort.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and conduct root-cause analysis.
  • Fosters a collaborative environment by being approachable and equipped with a “can-do” attitude.
  • Occasional mentoring or leading team members.
  • Pursues self-development, seeks feedback, adapts to and learns from change, difficulties, and feedback.

Required Education/Experience

  • 3+ years’ marketing experience, preferably with digital marketing/ecommerce experience
  • Advanced experience in Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
  • Working knowledge of technical website development elements (HTML, JavaScript, CSS, etc.) and their impact to SEO efforts
  • Project management experience
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Excellent time-management/organizational skills
  • Passion for ecommerce retail and marketing
  • Highly analytical, competitive and results-driven
  • Must work well within a team environment
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Negotiation and relationship-building skills

Preferred Education/Experience

  • Experience with web analytics tools such as Adobe Analytics
  • Experience with search marketing tools such as SEOclarity, BrightEdge, Searchmetrics, Screaming Frog, etc.
