We’re looking for a talented Sr SAP Analytics Developer who is highly motivated, team oriented, and will be a key contributor to our Central IT Data Analytics team. We are a passionate, service-oriented group of dedicated engineering professionals highly focused on delivering valuable insights to our business customers including Wood Products, Timberlands, Real Estate, and Corporate Functions such as Finance, Human Resources, Law, IT and Tax. This position will have flexibility to report out of Weyerhaeuser’s Seattle Headquarters or work remotely provided you are currently based (or are planning to move to) one of the following states Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Louisiana, Maine, Michigan, Mississippi, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia. This role is not open to those who live in other states or countries.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively partners with our SAP IT analysts and business customers to gather and analyze the analytic reporting requirements and related KPI’s and map those against our SAP and non-SAP data domains.
  • Leads the design and implementation activities to enable the necessary SAP CDS data modelling and data analytics leveraging SAP S/4 embedded analytics, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), and Power BI.
  • Design, build, and supports the SAP SAC planning solutions and integration with SAP S/4 and non-SAP systems.
  • Engage with key stakeholders to provide support, testing, and end user training for reporting and planning solutions.
  • Manages and coordinates hand-off of development, testing, and support activities to offshore team.
  • Proactively identify ways to improve data reliability, efficiency, and quality. Identify incomplete data and data integration opportunities.
  • Contributes to the automation, simplification, and overall improvement of analytics and planning processes.
  • Follow change management processes and procedures in-line with IT controls.
  • Promotes and drives the adoption of data analysis and planning tools by broad employee base.
Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience of enabling analytics using SAP technologies (SAP embedded analytics, SAP BW/BW4Hana, Hana sidecar, SAC, etc.).
  • 3+ years of experience designing, modelling, and developing S/4 Hana Virtual Data Model (VDM) and CDS views.
  • Proficient in enablement of SAP S/4 Fiori embedded analytics.
  • Proficient in designing and implementing SAP SAC solutions, including model, stories, and data actions.
  • Solid understanding of SAP data model and understanding of Finance or Supply chain business processes and analytics to support those processes.
  • SQL development experience, with proven ability to write efficient queries. Solid understanding of techniques to manage and work with large sets of data. Solid understanding of relational database design and using SQL to transform and query.
  • Solid understanding of dimensional data modelling and data warehousing concepts and proven experiences that implemented star schemas and slowly changing dimensions.
  • Experience working with a BI reporting tool (e.g Analysis for Office, SAC, Bex, BOBJ, Power BI, etc)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to effectively negotiate with other teams to create a mutually beneficial solution.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, to all levels of technical and non-technical owners.
  • Outstanding customer service skills including working effectively with all levels of the organization to provide highly effective technical data analysis and solutions.
  • Ability to support a collaborative atmosphere by proactively soliciting input from others and promoting an environment where all team members feel comfortable sharing and discussing their ideas and where the opinions of others are respected.
  • Displays a commitment to growing technical skills and discover new and better ways to deliver technical and application solutions. Proactively mentors others in growing technical abilities.
  • Ability to build effective and productive working relationships with team members and customers, while effectively identifying and prioritizing issues and solutions.
  • Experience working with SAP Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC) desired.
  • Experience working with Snowflake and dbt desired.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field is preferred.

Compensation: This role is eligible for our annual merit-increase program, and we are targeting a salary range of $101,600 – $152,400 based on your level of skills, qualifications and experience. You will also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program, which offers a cash bonus targeting 15% of base pay. Potential plan funding may range from zero to two times that target.

Paid Time Off or Vacation: We provide eligible employees who are scheduled to work 25 hours or more per week with paid vacation for up to 3 weeks to use during your first year of employment. In addition, after being employed for six months, eligible employees begin to accrue vacation for future use. We also recognize eleven paid holidays per year, providing a total of 88 hours along with paid parental leave for all full time employees.
