Are you an IT professional that is customer focused and wants to be able to impact an organization by providing core PC infrastructure support and services? Can you install, maintain, and support hardware, software, and peripherals (including but not limited to Server, PC, Laptop, Mobile Devices, Network Equipment and Telephony Helpdesk Support)? Primary Responsibilities of the role include:

  • Provide Onsite & Remote End-user technical support including installation for all hardware / software and peripherals
  • Helpdesk Ticket Triage, Queue Management, Incident Resolution, Project tasks as assigned
  • Ensure the required security and patch levels are met and maintained pertaining to SCCM / anti-Virus & Web Filtering on Servers & PC’s
  • Support local PBX and hosted phone systems to ensure voice communication availability
  • Travel as needed to remote site locations (including overnight) to provide support within the US and Canada
  • Provide support for mobile devices including iOS and Android based phones and tablets
  • Assist with Engineering IT application support as required (ScrapMaster, Uniwin, FuelMaster etc.)
  • Set up and maintain site network file structures, access rights, network security, network users, network printing and desktop user environments
  • Provide basic network support to the business to include an understanding of Layer 2 and Layer 3 plus wireless networking. Escalate issues to shared Network resources if necessary
  • Troubleshoot and resolve problems encountered in the use of all site systems and desktop applications
  • Ensure all technical support related activities comply with the global Harsco compliance standards and procedures
  • Maintain site hardware/software inventories and assist with the audit of site hardware and software
  • Provide End User training to enhance the user experience by raising awareness and improving productivity
  • Assist with system backups and disaster recovery plans
  • Participate in weekly rotation for after-hours emergency support
  • Escalate issues and concerns to the Technical Support Manager, as appropriate

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

Education/Experience

  • High School Diploma (or equivalent)
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in customer facing support of desktop hardware/peripherals and desktop software systems


Technical Skills

  • Knowledge of the following products/technologies, preferably in an enterprise environment
  • Office365 (including but not limited to office apps, Teams, ODfB, Power BI)
  • Windows 10
  • Active Directory
  • Good technical trouble shooting skills


Non-Technical Skills

  • Oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate with end-users in clear, understandable and concise non-technical terms
  • Ability to write technical documentation
  • Flexible/adaptable
  • Customer Service Focused


Preferred Qualifications


Education/Experience

  • Associates/Technical Degree [or Equivalent relevant course of study] or at least 3 years’ experience in a related role

Technical Skill

  • MCITP
  • MCDST
  • A+ or equivalent Understanding of PC hardware
  • ITIL V3 Foundation
  • Project Management training or relevant experience
  • ServiceNow
  • Azure


C.
Non-technical skills

  • Ability to effectively plan and organize workload
  • Able to work under pressure
  • Able to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with little direct supervision
