Hybrid Working

We are currently in the early stages of implementing a hybrid working environment, which means that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. We’re flexible on how this works and it may continue to change and evolve. Depending on your team, typically this means that colleagues spend a minimum of between 20% to 60% of their time in the office, which could be over a week, a month or a quarter. However, some colleagues may choose to spend more time in the office over a typical period than their role type requires. We also have a flexible working process where, subject to business needs, all colleagues globally are able to request work patterns to reflect their personal circumstances These requests will be reviewed and agreed for a period of time i.e., will have a start and end date.

Introduction:
Working in close partnership with the business, provide financial support to drive business

decisions.

Interpret and explain performance within the business on a weekly, monthly and ad-hoc basis.

Work alongside the UK team in respect of Outlook, Performance Reporting & Analysis. Provide ad-hoc analysis and insights on specific issues.

What will you be doing?

o To maintain/ enhance BUK Internal Reporting

o Responsible for running the Barclays UK Bank – Transactional products (BUK) reporting, which is basically focus on forecasting and NIM performances

o Strong knowledge on Profit & Lost & Balance sheets and Key Performance Indicators

o Ability to analyse financial ratios

o To have wide range of experience of the varied techniques and tools being used throughout the team- SAP, Essbase, Smartview etc.,

o To execute basic financial analysis which can formulate the base story telling

o To support month close activities from BUK internal reporting control perspective and Monitor actual performance against target/Plan/Prior Year and provide understanding for variances

o To deliver high quality daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly key performance reports

o Collaboration across BUK Finance – share best practice, influence process improvements and participate in cross finance initiatives

o Take ownership of own development, participating actively in one to ones, responding to feedback and identifying learning opportunities in the workplace

What we’re looking for:
o Strong Academic background with MBA (Finance) / CA / CMA / CIMA / ACCA

o Good communication skill

o Good understanding of Accounting and Reporting

Skills that will help you in the role:
o Experience with excel, SAP, Hyperion

o Strong control awareness

o Stakeholder management skills

o Eye for detail and analytical skills
